Our thrift stores are about far more than great bargains. They are a vital extension of The Gospel Mission's ministry to feed the hungry, clothe the poor, shelter the homeless, and lead them to Christ. Every dollar spent goes directly back into the Mission's life-transforming ministries. When you shop with us, you help provide:

A stewardship update

Our South Sioux City Furniture Thrift Store has closed.

After much prayer and consideration, The Gospel Mission closed our South Sioux City Furniture Thrift Store location on Saturday, August 15th, to wisely steward the resources God has provided and stay focused on the ministries with the greatest impact. Thank you to every customer, donor, volunteer, and supporter who blessed us there. Please keep shopping and supporting the Mission at our downtown store.

What we're accepting

Please drop off all items at our Downtown Thrift Store, and ring the doorbell at the big red overhead garage door. Staff or volunteers will help you unload and give you a tax-deductible donation receipt. All items must be clean and in sellable condition. Furniture donations are not being accepted at this time.

  • Clothing for all ages, including shoes, coats, new undergarments, socks, workout and medical clothing
  • Bedding, sheets, blankets, and pillows
  • Bath towels, kitchen towels, and rags
  • Small kitchen appliances: microwaves, blenders, crockpots, air fryers
  • Purses, luggage, and wallets
  • Flatscreen TVs, radios, and speakers
  • Kids' toys, stuffed animals, and games

Free clothing pickup

Schedule a donation pickup

Pickups run Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, with a minimum of 10 bags or boxes of clothing. Household items and toys in good condition are also accepted when donated along with clothing. We are not accepting furniture at this time.
