Shelter the Homeless

Since our founding over 80 years ago, we have served men struggling with alcoholism, drug use, gambling, and other contributing factors to homelessness. We build an environment of structure and support that lets them thrive and rebuild their lives. A culture centered in faith, which includes volunteering, gives each man a newfound sense of self-worth, the ability to find a job, and above all else, a relationship with God.

Shelter to Launch (S2L)

S2L is a 6-month residential program in which guests work toward the biggest life needs that may have kept them from returning to their own homes. We provide the tools to get back on their feet: nightly chapel services, partnership with local churches and spiritual mentors, onsite life coaching and casework, and stabilization through structure and biblical accountability.

The broken family used to be a mother and her children. More and more, we now see men with their children seeking shelter and services. Opened in 2016, this U-shaped facility has four apartment-style units, each with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a small kitchenette.

It is designed as a six-month program. Children attend school or daycare, while fathers are encouraged to find part-time or full-time work, attend chapel services, and receive parenting and life skills training. The newest of our shelters, this program is one of the few like it in the country.
